I created this card for Operation Write Home!!

I hope this puts a *smile* on a sweet little girls face when she hears from her hero!!! :)

I needed a shaped die-cut... so...

I printed the sketch, cut out the shape and used it as a template.

Faux stitching was made with a pink copic marker.

My daughter, Katie (age 13) made this awesome card for a soldier to keep in touch with his/her teen back home!!

I love that this was made *FOR* a TEEN... *BY* a TEEN!!! :)

Katie used Copic Markers on a digi image from "Spesch Designer Stamps" called "Goth boy with ring".

She *spritz* the background paper with "Tattered Angels" Glimmer Mist "Cinder" and "Sea Glass"!!

"Cherry on Top" Girly Card for OWH

This week’s Operation Write Home "Midweek Throwdown Challenge" is to make cards for kids and include scallops for our heroes to send home to their family and friends!

This is my 2nd card for the challenge... after making a "Teen Guy" card... I decided to also make a "Girly Girl" Card!!

I hope this card puts a smile on a "Sweet" little girl's face hearing from her deployed hero!! :)

Cherry Paper is from the "Sweet" Mat Stack by DCWV

Ribbon was from Michael's a while back

Hot Fix Rhinestones were added to the border

Font is called "SNF Party Script"

The adorable image is from "Elisabeth Bell" called "Sweet Sundae"

I colored her in with Copic Markers

The "Silver Spoon" was filled in using the paint from a "Chrome Silver Pearl Pen" & a toothpick!!

The "Sundae Glass" was filled in using a lot of Glossy Accents to give it a glassy 3D effect.

"HEY" Teen Guy Card for OWH



This week’s Operation Write Home "Midweek Throwdown Challenge" is to make cards for kids and include scallops for our heroes to send home to their family and friends!

I decided to create a "Teen Guy" card with a Tribal looking scallop

I hope this card puts a smile on a teens face hearing from his deployed hero!!

The simple greeting is used so often by teen guys... including mine!! :)

Silver Metallic Paper is by Best Occassions

Font is called "Whoa!"

I love the digi image from "Spesch Designer Stamps" called "Goth boy with ring".

I colored him in with Copic Markers.

The "metal" was filled in using the paint from a "Chrome Silver Pearl Pen" & a toothpick!!

I covered the skull on his shirt with black ink & one of the stars from the background paper.

OWH - Midweek Throwdown "Masculine" Challenge

I created this card for Operation Write Home's Midweek Throwdown Challenge

 

This week’s challenge is... Masculine!

 

I used the brand new "Romance Novel" Papers by Prima Marketing... I LOVE this collection!!!

 

I have some of the papers listed in our store... "StayTrueToGod.com" I'm still waiting on more goodies for this collection... can't wait!! :)

 

The sentiment was created with a free font from http://www.1001freefonts.com/ called "Typewriter Keys". I simply printed it, cut it out... then inked it all up to match using Tim Holtz' "Antique Linen" Distress Ink.
