Webster's Pages August 1,2,3 Scraplift Challenge - Card & Envelope

Hi Everyone! I hope your weekend is off to a great start!

I made this for the August 1,2,3 Scraplift Challenge over at Webster's Pages. I chose Anabelle's Complex Card. Here's a link if you want to check it out... http://websterspages.ning.com/forum/topics/august-monthly-challenge-its
"LOVE" Card & Matching Envelope

Here's the WP products I used...everything is available in our store if you're interested...

Life's Portrait "Imagine Your Life" 6x6 Paper.
Flowers are handmade using "Imagine Your Life" 12x12 Paper.
The black trim at the top was cut from Life's Portrait "Established & True" 6x6 Paper.
The black trim at the bottom was cut from Life's Portrait "Established & True" 12x12 Paper.
Sage Bloomers.
"LOVE" & Sentiment are Life's Portrait "Fabric Fancies".
The black bracket is from "Life's Portrait" Image & Phrase Stickers.

Here's a close-up of the card.

I used Martha Stewart's "Floral Vine" Deep Edge Punch
Hot Fix Rhinestones and a Hot Fix Applicator

I made the flowers, stamen & leaves with punches.
The "Blossom" flower punch is the same one used in the "Cherry Blossom" set which is available in our store. It's also on sale for 20% Off through Sunday, August 29th.

Here's a close-up of the inside of the card and the back of the envelope.

I made more flowers, stamen & leaves.
I just put black ink on the edges of the leaves for some shadowing.

I should have some flower, stamen & leaf diecuts available for sale soon.
I also have the blank cards & clear cellophane bags that I'll post too.

Well, that's it for now!

Thanks for looking...

Have an awesome weekend!

God bless & big hugs...

Tracy

CHERRY BLOSSOM Tutorial by my daughter Katie!!

These gorgeous Cherry Blossoms were made by my 11 year old daughter, Katie, with punches, craft wire and floral tape!!

Now, we sell the punches in our store!!

Here's an awesome little tutorial that Katie put together...

Simply punch out the shapes you need...

2 - #2 Medium Blossom
1 - #4 Large Water Splatt
1 - #1 Small Sunflower
2 - Mini Suns

Use the Stylus Tool and... rub the center of the flower in a circular motion to "cup" the flower.

Katie "cupping" another flower petal.

Side view of all the "cupped" petals.
Katie painted all of the petals with Shimmerz Paintz.
She used "Pink" and "Angel Wings".

Katie is molding the flowers on the back side of each petal.

Layer all 3 of the petals.

Katie split each of the sunflower petals with scissors.
Then she painted the tips with Shimmerz "Burgundy".

"My Girls"!!!

To make the bendable branch, you will need the following items...

Paper-Covered Craft Wire
Brown Floral Tape
Wire Cutters

Bend the Craft Wire to the desired length

Cut the Craft Wire with Wire Cutters.

Bend the smaller piece of wire around the main branch.

Wrap the Brown Floral Tape around the branches.
We recommend putting a small amount at each tip first.
Dad helped... "thanks Dad"!!!

Assemble the remaining flower pieces.

Press down on the center of each flower with a small stylus tool to "pop" the stamen up.

Arrange your Cherry Blossoms on the Branches.

Apply glue and attach your petals to the branches.

All Finished!!!

Katie made these beautiful blossoms to give away in a flower swap... I am soooo very proud of her!!

She's going to start selling her handmade flowers and cards on our website.

Want to make your own Cherry Blossoms?
Check out our store at...

We hope you're encouraged to start making your own amazing Cherry Blossoms!!

Have an awesome day!!

God bless & big hugs...

"Life's Journey... Just one moment at a time" Journal and Bookmark

Well, I'm finally crafting again! I've been sooooo busy in the last few months... but things are finally slowing down a bit! Here's a journal & bookmark that I've been working on. The words mean a lot to me because I get over whelmed very easily!! I have a LOT going on in my life and my brain goes sooooo much faster than my body can keep up!! I'm trying desperately to S L O W down and just focus on the moment!!

I used a LOT of Webster's Pages on this one...

I bought a cheap notebook from Walmart and covered it using Mod Podge.
I used Webster's Pages "Pure Grace" and "Light the Way" papers.
I trimmed the edges with the "Floral Vine" Deep Edge Punch from Martha Stewart.
The flowers and leaves are handmade also using those WP papers.
The Alphas are WP "Postcards from Paris".
The pretty green "button" is a "Scalloped Sparkler" from WP.
The pink ribbon is WP's "Pink Velvet" and I just hung a silver cross from the bow.
I crocheted the white thread and left space for the green "Silk Ribbon" and "Pink Velvet".
The frame & birds are from "Dusty Attic"...
I just painted them white and put a little pink on the edge of the birds wings.
Oh... and the fluffy white feathers were a gift from my cockatoo... Titus Too!!

Close-up of the bookmark.

I sell almost everything you see in my store. So, it was awesome to finally use some of it!!
The Silk Ribbon was just added a couple of days ago and I only charge .18 a foot. The color I used is Seafoam Green #618... and it matches perfectly!!

I hope you're all having an awesome week!!

Thank you sooooo much for visiting...

God bless & big hugs,

Tracy
