I Love You This Much! Birthday Card - CLP Sketch Challenge #33

Hi Blogger Friends!! :)

Here's an easel card I made for my daughter's 26th birthday. It's hard to tell by the photo... but it is made of black & red velvet and flocked damask paper!! So, there is a LOT of texture on this one!! :)

The adorable digi image is from "Elisabeth Bell Designs". You can find it here... http://www.elisabethbell.com/digital-collection/i-love-you-this-much

I crocheted the white lace and wove Red Silk Ribbon through it. The crystal flourish & heart are Zva Creations. I offer Zva and the Silk Ribbon in our store. You can find them here... http://staytruetogod.com/

For the inside of the card I used Spellbinder's "Fancy Tags". I really wanted it to be out of velvet. But, when I ran it through the Big Shot it only left deep grooves. So, I stubbornly finished cutting it out with small Fiskars Scissors! FYI... I was using Darice 'Sticky Back' paper that is very thick. Regular velvet paper would have been fine... and I'm definitely buying some!!!

"Happy Birthday" is a font called "Eutemia I". The flourish is a dingbat called "DB Fleuries" and I used the letter "a".

I made a mini bouquet of roses & tied a bow with black organza ribbon. All of the flowers I used for this card are Zva Creations. They will soon be on our website... http://www.staytruetogod.com/. I have them in stock... I just need to post them to the store!! :)

Here are the Copics I used. We'll be offering the WHOLE line of Copics soon!! Yay... I can't wait!! :)

I'm entering this in "Crafting Life's Pieces" Sketch Challenge. Here's the link if you want to go have a peek and enter your own creation...

Well, that's it for now! I'm starting to get boxes of brand new items for the store. So, I have a LOT of work to do!!

Thank you for your visit!! I appreciate YOU!! :)

God bless & big hugs...

Hi Tracy, woo this is a beautiful card, very striking colours! I love this image too! And I have never tried using velvet papers, I have to get hold of some soon. I am sure the effect is really beautiful, much more than the photo can show! Happy birthday to your daughter, lucky gal!!

Haven't heard for you in years, not even a phone call to see if I'm still alive...
But I'm glad you added the only card I've gotten in 7 years to your "blog".. aren't I special.

Maybe someday you'll take the time to "create" a relationship with me... I guess they don't sell paper cutouts to help you do that now do they...? ;)
