My daughter, Katie (age 13) created a card for OWH Midweek Throwdown Challenge!! :)

I was creating a card for Operation Write Home and my daughter Katie decided to make one too!! :)

Do you craft with your children / grandchildren?
It is an awesome creative outlet for them & even better bonding time!!! :)

This is a perfect card for one of our HEROES to send home to his/her little girl!!
I LOVE that my "baby girl" created this sweet card for someone elses "baby girl"!! :)

This weeks theme for the Midweek Throwdown Challenge is...
"Thinking of you"

The adorable stamp is available in our store...
"OA Lovey Dovey" by "The Greeting Farm"

Check out the "Operation Write Home" category in our store.
OWHers receive 15% off using the code OurHEROES at checkout!!
I will also donate an additional 5% to Sandy for her shipping expenses!! :)

Sentiment & hearts are "Studio G" Stamps
Border Punch is "Eyelet Lace" by Martha Stewart
Katie colored in the image with Copic Markers
She used Hot Fix Rhinestones & an Applicator
Buttons were sewn on with white, pink & red thread
She distressed the edges with a Tim Holtz Distresser
She also inked the edges with pink & red ink

Please pray for the safety of our military!!!!

"Operation Write Home" is an awesome organization that sends blank handmade cards to our deployed military to write on and send home to their family & friends.

They are our amazing HEROES who risk their lives daily for our freedom!! This is something we can do to say "Thank You" for all that they do for us!! You can also create cards FOR the heroes and write encouraging notes for them!! :)

I hope you'll consider making cards for them too!!

God bless & big hugs...

Tracy

How wonderful that you and your daughter make cards together. Tell her that she's got some serious card-making game. Wonder where she got that from? :)

Katie has clearly learned a lot from her Mom :) This is such a sweet card. I love the buttons and bling :)
